International AIDS Conference: Major Focus on Addressing Stigma, Access and Youth Involvement By: Al B The International AIDS Conference, AIDS 2016 took place in Durban, South Africa from July 18-22, 2016 and was attended by approximately 15,000 delegates from around the world. This is the second time the conference has been held in Durban, the first such being in 2000. Although much of the information provided addressed the situation in Africa, there were very similar challenges, barriers and strategies talked about that have application in the United States, California and Los Angeles County.
